Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z & Dominar Prices Unchanged After GST Hike, Same Strategy Used For KTM Bikes As Well
Bajaj has announced that prices of its two large-capacity motorcycles will remain unchanged despite the recent GST hike. The company applies the decision to the popular Pulsar NS400Z and the flagship Dominar 400. The company continues to sell both bikes at their existing ex-showroom prices.
Pricing
The Pulsar NS400Z currently has a price of Rs. 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most value-for-money option in its segment. Meanwhile, the company maintains the price of the Dominar 400 at Rs. 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom). If not for this move, both motorcycles would have experienced a steep Rs. 20,000 hike.
Bajaj’s decision comes at a crucial time when festive demand usually sees positive buyer sentiment. The company chooses to absorb the additional costs instead of passing them to customers. This strategy is expected to protect demand and keep the models competitive during the festive season.
The company follows the same approach with its KTM range of motorcycles. Similarly, Hero decides not to increase Harley-Davidson X440 prices. Interestingly, Royal Enfield raises prices of all motorcycles above 350cc, a move that could affect its festive sales.
